According to Istat, the first nine months of 2018 closed with a growth of the value of the Marche vineyard in the world of 9%, almost three times the national average (3.4%) with a value of over 41 million euro and a projection over 12 months exceeding 56 million euros. "Our promotional action, but above all the work of the producers in the vineyard and in the winery, are starting to give more than satisfactory results - said the director of the Istituto Marche di tutela vini (Imt), Alberto Mazzoni.
Data relating to the provinces on wines and beverages (where the latter account for 10% of the total values), tell that Ancona - and therefore the area of Jesolo - is the most prolific territory, with a growth of 14% and a market share of 60% of total regional wine exports. The other provinces are also good, with the exception of Macerata (-4%), with the Ascoli area (second for sales) at around + 4% and Pesaro-Urbino which is close to + 8%.
Verdicchio (from Castelli di Jesi and Matelica) has been the most awarded Italian white wine for 4 years by the industry guides, its production exceeds 20 million bottles, about half of which destined abroad in particular in the USA, which is worth 22% of sales across the border, Northern Europe, Germany, the United Kingdom and China.
