Poggio Cagnano, brand of the Cagnano Agricola wine estate in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, was back for the second time at ProWein, in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Poggio Cagnano extends over the top of the hill that dominates the area, ranging from the ancient Tower of Manciano until the Argentario coast, at an altitude of 450 meters above the sea level.
The two hectares of vineyards give birth to red grapes for the production of Maremma DOC and Sangiovese and to white grapes for the production of Vermentino Maremma Toscana, which has been offered as a barrel sample for the first time at the exhibition in Düsseldorf.
"We are proud to continue our international promotional activities. This is not only a goal, but also a starting point”, says Alessandro Gobbetti, which adds “the two participations in Germany were very important for our company. This year we have been able to show for the first time our Vermentino. It was an experiment - it is our first harvest - a result that we wanted to share with the audience of experts to receive their valuable feedback to grow and to improve".
The wines presented at ProWein (Hall 16, stand E31) have been Altaripa - Sangiovese 100%, Arenario - Cabernet Sauvignon 100% and Selvoso - Sangiovese 40%, Merlot 15%, 45% Cigliegiolo.
