Dalter Alimentari is an Italian company based in Reggio Emilia, specializing in the packaging of typical hard Italian cheeses (Grana Padano, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Romano). The formats include grated and single portions for the food service industry, processed ready meals, and for the big supermarket chains. The company has recently taken part in an exhibition in Amsterdam organized by the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA). Dalter has presented brand new Parmigiano Reggiano products. This typical Italian cheese is produced by Dalter in the area where the company is located.

Parmigiano Reggiano products represent over 50% of Dalter’s exports. Created especially for foreign markets, two new premium products were added to the catalogue: grated cheese obtained from only the best part of the Parmigiano Reggiano PDO aged 30 months (usually the grated cheese also includes the rind) and shavings of aged 30 month Parmigiano Reggiano PDO. This is an innovation because during the long aging process the cheese usually crumbles when produced in such small portions. This format is more practical for the consumer with a shelf life of up to 180 days.
Formats
Among the other available formats for the various cheeses: nuggets, single portions, fillets. They can be packed in various packs, from the flow pack to single portions bags, passing from re-fillable packs graters and bags.
