"For Cultiva it is important to participate in international fairs and initiatives, also to monitor the market and anticipate future trends and consumer needs. Surely our participation in PMA has been an important opportunity to strengthen and develop ties with our East Coast partners" comments Federico Boscolo, President of Cultiva Farm USA.
Last year, PMA was the scene of the announcement of the Cultiva and Taylor Farms joint venture, which is proving to be a winner. The partnership led to the construction of the largest baby leaf system in the United States and aims to create a significant production of baby leaf in the East Coast through the importation of Cultiva's Italian cultivation techniques in the US market.
"To date we can confirm Cultiva's leadership in large-scale baby-leaf production in the greenhouse, thus continuing successfully a path started in 2016. The project to offer better solutions to provide local productions close to the big centers of the East Coast and strongly wanted by the Fresh Cut Americano, is proving to be a winner for Cultiva Farms", continues Federico Boscolo.
"From our long-standing experience we can see that consumers demand for organic products is high even in the United States. In Jennings, Florida, Cultiva, in fact, inaugurated last May the first 800 greenhouses dedicated to the production of baby leaf, made in partnership with Taylor Farms. To meet this growing demand, we have recently implemented the business introducing 80 new greenhouses dedicated exclusively to organic products, with a particular focus on baby leaf production, and the project is to add as many", adds Giancarlo Boscolo, President of Cultiva.
