At Beer Attraction, the international exhibition dedicated to beer specialties, craft beers and innovation in the food and beverage sector, the "World Gluten Free Beer Award" (WGFBA 2017) fourth edition was held and Peroni ranked first amongst the lagers of its category with Peroni Senza Glutine (Gluten Free).
The judges of WGFBA 2017 awarded the brewery with the second most important prize in the world for its gluten free beer in the category A, which includes low and high fermentation beers with low-alcohol (<5.5%).
Giovanni Battista Morlino, the Brewing Manager of the company, was there to receive the award: “We are very happy for this result and we thank all those who contributed to the success of this beer. Every step of the production process of Gluten Free Peroni is strict, to ensure a gluten content of less than 10ppm and to keep the round, balanced taste of the beer”, he said.
